One day an old man is waiting for a bus to come, a little later on as buses can take a while to come he is joined at the bus stop by a man with his son who is seven years old. Soon enough the bus turns up, and the younger man with his son hop on first followed by the old man. As there are only two seats left, the father and son take those two remaining seats, so the old man is left with no option but to stand during the journey. The bus takes off, and soon into the journey transit the old man is beginning to loose his balance as the bus moves and shakes about. He doesn't fall on the floor, but somehow manages to just keep his balance with a walking stick held in one hand. The boy who with his father got on at the same stop as he did notices the old man having had some trouble staying upright, whom he is seated not far from, he turns to the old man and says to him: "Excuse me sir, but you know if you put some rubber on the end of your stick, it would have a better grip, it wouldn't slip about, and you would keep your balance much better." To which the old man snaps back: "If your father had put some rubber on the end of his stick several years ago, I would have myself a seat, wouldn't I!"
